Maybe the insight came during his semester abroad in San Diego. Perhaps also during his internship in the area of debt advisory. Or as a working student in auditing. He doesn’t know exactly anymore, but today Faruk Öbek is convinced: “I need numbers, but not just numbers”.
That’s why working as a consultant in our team meets exactly his interests. At the interface of strategy and finance, the Munich native enthusiastically designs incentive systems for a large number of clients, prepares job evaluations and benchmarks and is co-author of the Swiss remuneration report.
Faruk focuses in particular on the healthcare sector. With good reason, because after completing his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration at the LMU in Munich and his master’s degree in Accounting & Finance at the University of St. Gallen, he wrote his master’s thesis on a topic in precisely this area: doctor remuneration in Switzerland. It was his entry into the world of wages and incentives. After a stopover at another leading Swiss compensation consulting firm, he finally joined the team of klingler consultants.
That the bookworm is sometimes jokingly called a know-it-all by his friends has not yet been figured out. But it probably belongs to the usual fate of a Bayern-München fan to have to listen to a biting comment every now and then. The midfielder recently ended his own football career and has since kept his body and soul fit with strength training and traveling.
